Study Title: PCORnet Opioid Surveillance Demonstration (PCORnet Opioid Rapid Cycle Research Project)

Project Summary

Purpose: To evaluate and demonstrate use of PCORnet for surveillance of the opioid epidemic.

Goal(s): 1) Leverage the PCORnet Common Data Model to create a profile of opioid epidemic risk factors, processes, and outcomes; 2) Analyze the strength of relationships between patient- and provider-level risk factors and process metrics in relation to outcomes of focus; 3) Assess non-EHR data sources for future integration.
